Gathering at St Edmund’s to begin the walk

Good Friday Walk of Witness in Hunstanton

4th April 2015 - The following article is reproduced by kind permission of Town and Around

Members of all the churches in Hunstanton gathered at St Edmund’s for the annual walk of witness around the town on Good Friday.

As the walkers sang hymns, the cross was carried along the High Street and then there was a short service on The Spinney conducted by Sam Abramian of Union Church and Daniel Holland from The Way where the less mobile joined the walkers swelling the congregation to around sixty on a very damp and gloomy morning.

The cross then continued its journey around the town before returning to St Edmund’s.

Stephen Andrews lifts the cross for the first part of the walk.
